Dr. Abigail Hirsch, President

For over 15 years Abigail Hirsch, Ph.D. has been fascinated by the challenge inherent in creating motivating educational experiences. Abigail helped to design the original Power of Two workshops, co-authored the Power of Two Workbook, and has been instrumental in the development of PO2's live-online courses. Abigail's husband, Adam, credits Power of Two as the source of their decade of joyful marriage. Abigail holds a bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Studies of Social Policy from Harvard University, an M.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado, Denver and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She lives with her husband and their three young boys on a tree farm next door to her Grandmother.

Dr. Susan Heitler, Author & Curriculum Supervision

Psychologist Susan Heitler, PhD has been happily married for nearly 40 years and has found great fulfillment in helping other couples enjoy their marriages as well. In her work as a therapist, an international speaker, and as the author of many books including The Power of Two, Dr. Heitler specializes in converting difficult marriages to delightful ones. Dr. Heitler takes great pleasure in seeing her nine grandchildren blossoming in loving households that have thrived with the Power of Two communication skills. She enjoys leading the children's "singing services" in her religious community, playing tennis, music and reading. Dr. Heitler is a Harvard graduate who also appreciates very much the clinical psychology program at NYU where she earned her doctorate. For more information about Dr. Heitler, see click here.

Jacob Heitler, VP Business Development

Jacob works out of an office he shares in Berkeley, CA with friends from business school who are starting a socially responsible underwear company (check them out at www.wearpact.com). He spends his time riding his bike through the hills of Berkeley, watching esoteric movies, and playing with his rambunctious nephews and niece. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Yale University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

Daniel Berson, VP Creative Production

Daniel roams the coffee shops of San Francisco in his never-ending quest to program the cuttingest edge, most exciting interactive web-based relationship skills educational content known to man. He performs every Thursday with the technology-improvisation comedy collective Tilted Frame, enjoys exploring the Bay Area's hidden ethnic restaurants with his food-blogging girlfriend Katie, and generally tries to let his beard do the heavy lifting. He holds a bachelor's degree in English and in Theater Studies from Yale University.

Jesse Heitler, VP Technology

Jesse spends his days in The Shed, which is really just the garden shed of his house in London decked out with some really cool wall paper. He telecommutes to join the Torque Interactive Media team and helps to make us a 24 hour operation. Jesse holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Yale University, and Torque is the 3rd business he's helped found.

Clayton Meador, Creative Engineer

Clayton works out of the Denver, CO office with Abigail, Katie, and CJ. Clayton has been married for 2 years and spends ALL of his time producing dance music, animation, and various digital media. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from the University of Kansas.

Katie Stokes, Project Manager

Katie is Power of Two's Project Manager and works out of the Denver office. Outside of work, Katie loves to spend her time teaching ballet at the Dance Conservatory of Denver. During the summer, she enjoys going to baseball games, playing disc golf, and being outdoors with her two labrador retrievers, Leroy and Armstrong. With winter approaching, she is looking forward to skiing and her students' performance of the Nutcracker. Katie holds a bachelor's of science in Biology from the University of Colorado.

CJ Kalinka, Researcher

Ms. Christina Jayne Kalinka, or "CJ" as most of her friends and colleagues know her, works out of our Denver, CO office. CJ moved from the Big Apple (NYC) in 2008 to begin her life here in Denver where she enjoys skiing (and more recently snowboarding), strengthening her mind and body practicing bikram yoga, and finding time to play with her puggle puppy, Coco, on the banks of the Platte River. CJ is currently a PhD student in clinical health psychology at the University of Colorado Denver, has an EdM and MA in counseling psychology from Columbia University, and a BA in psychology from the University of Michigan.
